Leadership programmes are increasingly organised to enhance organisational performance and employee commitment. A lot of research hypothesises that increased commitment of leadership to the organisation leads to increased employee identification to that organisation. This results in greater employee satisfaction and a greater willingness to make extra efforts on behalf of the organisation. A leader should also be transparent (vision), balance decisions and have an ethical core which guides decisions. In summary, that is the essence of authentic leadership and that’s what we develop in this leadership module.
